Terms of Service
Effective date: September 12, 2026
These Terms govern the Patron Saint website, Patron Saint Connect for iPhone, and Patron Saint for Apple TV.
1 Your agreement with us
These Terms govern the Patron Saint website at patronsaint.tv, Patron Saint Connect for iPhone, Patron Saint for Apple TV, and related services and support. Together, these are the Services.
These Terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Patron Saint. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator.
By selecting an acceptance control that clearly presents these Terms, or completing another action expressly identified as agreement to them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services that require acceptance. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Agreement to these Terms is not a blanket consent to optional analytics, advertising, or any disclosure for which the law requires a separate choice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
2 What Patron Saint provides
Patron Saint is an independent player for supported video and audio available through a Patreon account. Patron Saint Connect helps authenticate that account through Patreon’s website and connect it to the player on an Apple TV you control.
The Services do not sell you a Patreon membership, grant access to content you have not been authorized to access, or transfer ownership of creator content. Memberships, entitlement decisions, creator offerings, and their related payments remain with Patreon, the relevant creator, and any applicable payment platform.
Patron Saint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of Patreon, Inc., Apple Inc., or any creator. References to third-party names identify compatibility or the source of content. They do not imply a partnership or permission beyond rights actually granted.
Patreon-hosted media can play in the player. Some supported external posts may open another app or service, including YouTube or Vimeo. Additional apps, accounts, permissions, passwords, operating system versions, or other conditions may be required. Not every post, format, membership benefit, or external player is supported.
3 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, meet any higher minimum age required by applicable law, and meet Patreon’s requirements for the account and content you access. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must provide the permission required by law and agree to these Terms where necessary.
You must be at least 18, or any higher age legally required, to access adult-restricted content. You may not use Patron Saint to bypass age checks or content restrictions.
You may not use the Services where doing so is prohibited by applicable sanctions, export-control rules, or other law. You are responsible for satisfying the requirements that apply to your own use.
4 Your Patreon account and connected devices
Use only an account and session you are authorized to use. Keep your Patreon account in good standing and comply with the applicable Patreon terms, creator restrictions, and third-party service rules.
By initiating connection, you instruct the apps to process and transfer the session credential for the limited purpose of providing the connection, browsing, and playback functionality you request. This instruction does not change Patreon’s permissions or override its rules.
The connection uses a signed-in Patreon web session. Treat that session, pairing secrets, and your devices as sensitive. The player’s intended purpose does not turn the session into a technically restricted read-only credential.
You are responsible for choosing the correct television, checking the pairing confirmation, and securing devices and networks under your control. Anyone able to operate a signed-in television may be able to access the connected library. Use sign-out before transferring control of a device.
We do not ask you to send your Patreon password or session credential to our support address. Do not include them in support messages, screenshots, public posts, or bug reports.
Signing out of the player, clearing the companion browser, deleting an app, and cancelling a Patreon membership are separate actions. None should be assumed to accomplish the others. Use Patreon’s own account controls for account security, billing, and membership changes.
Your responsibilities do not excuse our own breach of these Terms or any legal duty we owe you.
5 App licenses and permitted use
For an app obtained through Apple’s App Store, the license to that app is governed by the applicable Apple-distributed end-user license agreement. Unless a separate custom license is expressly supplied with the app, this is Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
These Terms address the Services and your use of them in addition to that license. They do not remove mandatory rights or permissions granted by the applicable app license or Apple’s usage rules. If there is an inconsistency concerning the app license itself, that license controls.
Use the Services for lawful, personal access to content you are entitled to access, subject to the applicable app license and rights in that content. Apple Family Sharing or similar app-distribution permissions do not expand a Patreon membership or grant additional rights to creator content.
You may not sell, rent, sublicense, commercially exploit, or redistribute our Services or software except as expressly permitted by the applicable license or law.
6 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Bypass or interfere with payment requirements, membership entitlements, authentication, age restrictions, digital rights management, or other access controls.
- Obtain, import, disclose, or use another person’s session or account without proper authority.
- Redistribute, rebroadcast, publicly perform, record, or reproduce content beyond the permissions granted by its rights holder and applicable law.
- Extract private media links, account information, or creator data for unauthorized sharing, harvesting, or exploitation.
- Interfere with pairing, access a device you do not control without permission, introduce malicious code, or impair the Services or a third party’s systems.
- Impersonate us, Patreon, a creator, or another user, or misrepresent an affiliation.
- Use the Services unlawfully or in breach of applicable third-party terms.
Restrictions on reverse engineering, interoperability, or similar activity are subject to permissions that applicable law or an open-source license requires us to preserve. Security concerns may be reported to support@patronsaint.app. A report or these Terms does not grant permission to test Patreon’s systems or other people’s devices.
7 Creator content and third-party services
Creators and other rights holders retain their rights in their content. Your membership gives only the access and permissions offered by the relevant provider. We do not grant a separate content license or a right to retain access after an entitlement ends.
Content, memberships, availability, and compatibility can change. Posts may be removed, access can expire, and a third-party change can stop authentication or playback. The Services are a way to access supported material, not a backup, permanent archive, or promise that every benefit of a Patreon membership will be available.
We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, suitability, legality, or availability of third-party content. External apps, websites, and media providers operate under their own terms. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for those independent providers’ acts or omissions. This does not exclude responsibility for our own conduct.
A mature-content preference may not identify every sensitive item or prevent access in every circumstance. Follow applicable age and content restrictions and supervise shared devices appropriately.
If you believe content available through the Services infringes a right or presents a safety concern, contact us with enough information to identify the issue. We can address matters within our control and may direct you to the hosting platform or rights holder for other action. Do not send a session credential or private access token as evidence.
8 Prices and membership payments
Any price for a Patron Saint app or feature will be shown in the relevant store or purchase screen before you buy it. Patreon memberships and creator purchases are separate transactions with their own prices, renewal rules, cancellation terms, and refund arrangements.
We do not charge, cancel, or refund your Patreon memberships. Uninstalling Patron Saint or losing compatibility with it does not cancel those memberships.
If we offer a paid feature or subscription in the future, we will disclose its price and material purchase terms before charging you. A change to these Terms alone does not authorize a charge or start a subscription.
App Store purchases, billing, and available refund procedures are also governed by the applicable Apple terms and consumer law. Nothing here removes a refund, cancellation, or other remedy you are legally entitled to receive.
You are responsible for your own equipment, internet access, and related third-party charges.
9 Changes to the Services and support
We may improve, modify, limit, or discontinue features or the Services. Reasons can include security, legal or platform requirements, changes to Patreon or other dependencies, technical constraints, and business needs.
We will provide notice when reasonably practicable for a material discontinuation or change that adversely affects an ongoing service, and provide any notice or remedy required by law. Immediate action may be necessary for security or legal reasons, and an unplanned third-party change may prevent advance notice.
Previews, beta features, screenshots, and statements about planned availability describe development at the time they are provided. A future feature or launch date is not a contractual commitment unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Support is available through support@patronsaint.app. We do not promise a particular response time, uninterrupted operation, continued updates, or compatibility with every future device, operating system, or third-party change, except where such obligations arise under applicable law or a specific agreement.
For App Store apps, app support and any warranties or remedies we are legally required to provide are our responsibility as the app provider under the applicable license; Apple is not our support provider. Apple may separately administer purchase or refund processes under its own terms.
10 Ownership and feedback
We and our licensors retain rights in the Patron Saint software, website materials, branding, and other materials we create. Third-party trademarks, software, and media remain their owners’ property.
Open-source components are governed by their applicable licenses, which prevail over a conflicting restriction in these Terms for those components. Relevant notices are available on our open-source licenses page or with the software.
If you voluntarily send a suggestion, you permit us to use it to improve the Services without compensation or an obligation to implement it. This permission covers the suggestion itself; it does not transfer ownership of your unrelated intellectual property or override confidentiality or privacy duties. Do not send another person’s confidential material or content you have no right to share.
11 Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Except for rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, and any express commitment we make in a separate agreement, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, permanently available, compatible with every third-party change, or suitable for every post or device. Technical information and support advice do not create an additional warranty unless we expressly agree that they do.
These exclusions do not remove statutory consumer guarantees or remedies. Where the law requires a particular level of care, security, conformity, support, or remedy, that law continues to apply.
12 Limitations of liability
Subject to the exceptions below and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from the Services, even if advised that such loss was possible.
Subject to those same qualifications, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid us for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Payments to Patreon, creators, or unrelated providers are not payments to us.
These limitations do not apply to fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, our willful misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot be limited, or any other liability the law does not permit us to exclude or limit. They do not limit non-waivable privacy rights, statutory consumer remedies, or remedies expressly preserved by an applicable app license.
The limitations apply only to the extent enforceable in your jurisdiction. They do not make you responsible for a loss caused by our unlawful conduct.
13 Responsibility for unlawful misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses, damages, and necessary legal costs we incur from a third-party claim directly caused by your intentional unlawful misuse of the Services, knowing infringement of another person’s rights, or deliberate material breach of these Terms.
This obligation does not cover a claim caused by our breach, negligence, or other wrongdoing, and does not impose liability that consumer law prohibits. We will give reasonable notice of a covered claim, allow reasonable participation in its defense, and will not agree to a settlement imposing an admission or nonmonetary obligation on you without your consent.
14 Ending use or restricting access
You may stop using the Services at any time. Use the relevant sign-out and data controls before deleting an app or transferring a device.
We may restrict services within our control or end our agreement if you materially breach these Terms, create a security risk, or use the Services unlawfully. When appropriate and practicable, we will explain the issue and give an opportunity to address it. We may act immediately where necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address a serious breach.
Any termination of an app license is subject to that license and applicable law. We do not control or terminate your Patreon membership through these Terms.
Ending this agreement does not erase obligations or rights that arose earlier. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, applicable payment obligations, liability provisions, and dispute terms, survive to the extent lawful. Information we retain remains subject to the Privacy Policy.
15 Disputes and governing law
Please contact support@patronsaint.app if a dispute arises. We would like an opportunity to understand and resolve it. You may suggest up to 30 days for informal discussion, but this process is voluntary and does not prevent a timely claim, urgent relief, or a complaint to a regulator.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, United States, without applying rules that would require another jurisdiction’s law, except that you retain any mandatory protections of the law applicable to you as a consumer.
Unless applicable law gives you a right to bring a claim elsewhere, the state or federal courts in Pennsylvania, United States will hear disputes arising from these Terms. You and we consent to those courts where that agreement is legally enforceable.
Nothing here prevents a claim in an available small-claims court or limits a non-waivable consumer right to bring proceedings where you live. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive rights to bring a collective action where those rights exist.
16 Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the Services change. We will identify the effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes through an appropriate channel, such as the website or an in-app notice.
Where required by law, or where a material change requires a new agreement, we will ask for acceptance before applying it to your continued use. If you do not accept a change requiring your agreement, you may stop using the affected Services. Revised terms do not retroactively remove rights relating to an earlier dispute.
17 Other terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent they can operate lawfully without it. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
You may not transfer this agreement in a way that transfers an app or content right you do not have. We may transfer this agreement with the relevant business or assets, subject to applicable law and without reducing your mandatory rights. We will provide notice when required.
These Terms and the applicable app license contain the agreement concerning their respective subject matter, together with any additional terms you separately and validly accept. They do not override rights in mandatory pre-contract information or remedies for a misrepresentation that the law preserves.
Except as an applicable app license provides for Apple and its subsidiaries, these Terms do not give a third party an independent right to enforce them. Nothing in these Terms creates an agency, partnership, or joint venture between you and us.
